Madeleine Ross is an associate at Goddard & Shanmuganathan LLP, where her practice focuses on criminal and regulatory law. She represents clients at all levels of court, including at trial and on appeal.
Prior to joining the firm, Madeleine completed her articles and worked as an associate at a top criminal defence firm in Toronto. She worked on a variety of matters ranging from regulatory charges and professional discipline to serious criminal offences. She has experience working on both trials and appeals in cases involving sexual assault, firearm offences, drug offences, and murder.
Madeleine earned her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Ottawa. During law school, Madeleine worked at Justice Canada and interned with a criminal defence firm. Before law school, Madeleine received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Indigenous Studies from Trent University, where she graduated on the President’s Honour Roll and Dean’s Honour Roll. Madeleine also completed her Bachelor of Education at Queen’s University.
